Cheryl J. Washington, Ed.D., MSN, BSN, RNC-OB, C-EFM, CD-L, CD-PIC, SpBAP is a nurse, spinning babies aware practitioner, doula,  educator, and childbirth advocate with decades of experience serving women and families across the continuum of maternal care. Her professional background spans years of military service, labor and delivery nursing, fetal monitoring education, childbirth education, doula practice, and academic leadership, including service as a former PK-12 Christian school administrator alongside her supportive husband, James.  Cheryl was a 2017 Daisy award recipient for compassionate care to childbearing women and continues to bring a rare integration of clinical excellence, evidence-based practice, and a faith-centered worldview, equipping birth workers to support mothers with skill, discernment, and compassion. As the founder of Redemptive Childbirth® and The Nehemiah Birthing Project, she is deeply committed to addressing maternal health disparities, restoring dignity to childbirth, and training Kingdom Doulas who are prepared to stand in the gap for families during one of life’s most sacred and vulnerable moments.
