

Course Agenda
The Redemptive Childbirthâ„ Doula Certification Program is a faith-informed, evidence-based training designed to equip birthworkers with the skills, confidence, and spiritual grounding needed to support families through pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. Blending interprofessional collaboration with compassionate, culturally sensitive care, this program prepares doulas to serve alongside nurses, physicians, and community partners in both hospital and home settings. Graduates emerge ready to empower families with excellence, advocacy, and a redemptive vision of childbirth.
Didactic Instruction
Our training is based on Interprofessional Education, bringing together doulas, nurses, midwives, physicians, and therapists in a shared learning environment to promote teamwork, respect, and whole-family care. This course has been submitted for CEU review. Participants will be notified if/when approval is granted.
Weekend 1
Focus: History, role clarity, ethics, scope of practice, communication skills, culturally-responsive advocacy, interdisciplinary collaboration principles.

Weekend 2
Focus: Hands-on labor support strategies, physiologic birth principles, comfort measures, emotional regulation, shared decision-making, trauma-sensitive support.

Weekend 3
Focus: Assisting during labor and birth, postpartum recovery support, breastfeeding foundations, continuity of care, referrals, documentation, ethical practice, and community caregiver models.

Mentorship and Final Validation
Documented three deliveries and skill checklist completed by mentor, validating readiness for independent doula service. Community resource document, reading resource and final certification exam
